Carers

Whatever age you are, do you provide unpaid support to a family member or friend who:

  • could not manage without this help?
  • is ill, frail, disabled?
  • has mental health or substance misuse problems?

If so you are a Carer, we can offer support and advice channelling available services to you, e.g. flu vaccinations.

Caring for someone is an important and valuable role, which is often a 24-hour job that can be very demanding and isolating. As a carer, you are entitled to have your needs assessed by Adult Care Services. A Carer's assessment is a chance to talk about your needs and ways you could recieve help. It also looks at the needs of the person you care for. There is no charge for an assessment.

If you think this could apply to you or someone you know, please use the link below for a Carers' Identification and Referral Form or alternatively ask reception at the surgery.
